Texans' Nico Collins Hamstring Injury Doubtful for Week 2

Houston Texans star wide receiver Nico Collins suffered a hamstring injury during Wednesday's practice and is uncertain to play in Week 2 against the Cincinnati Bengals, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter. Collins met with team doctors, who don't think the injury is "serious," but his status for Sunday is in jeopardy.

The Texans' injury report listed Collins as limited. Collins also battled a hamstring injury in 2024, missing five games on injured reserve.

Collins, 27, had seven receptions for 75 yards and a touchdown in the Texans' season-opening loss to the Buffalo Bills. He has been Houston's leading receiver each of the last three seasons, eclipsing 1,000 yards each year.

His absence would be a major blow against a Cincinnati defense that forced four turnovers in Week 1. The Texans already are without Jayden Higgins, who will miss the season with an ACL tear.
