Texas Rangers shortstop Corey Seager played the second half of the season with a bone spur in his elbow, according to team president of baseball operations Chris Young. The issue persisted for a couple of months, and while a decision on treatment is pending, Young indicated that if surgery is required, it would be minor with a full recovery expected. Seager, who finished the season with a career-low .227 batting average in 102 games, also dealt with lower back inflammation and a concussion throughout the year.

The Rangers missed the playoffs for the third consecutive season, finishing 80-82 after losing their final game at Minnesota. Meanwhile, two-time Cy Young Award winner Jacob de Grom battled groin tightness and hip soreness in the season's final weeks, finishing with a career-worst 4.20 ERA. Young noted de Grom was fatigued but emphasized his contributions throughout the season.

Other injury updates include third baseman Josh Jung's broken right hand and catcher Danny Jansen's potential minor hand procedure.
