MLB Injury Updates & Roster Moves
The Diamondbacks activated outfielder Lourdes Gurriel Jr. from the injured list Saturday, marking a remarkably fast return less than eight months after he suffered a torn right ACL in 2025. Conversely, the Phillies placed closer Jhoan Duran on the 15-day IL due to a strained left oblique, as confirmed by manager Rob Thomson. Adding to the National League injury woes, the Giants reliever Jose Butto underwent arm surgery Friday with Dr. Jason Lee at Stanford Medical Center, a procedure expected to sideline the veteran for five to six months.
