Sycamore Partners has sold Los Angeles-based retailer Hot Topic to Spencer Spirit Holdings Inc. for undisclosed terms. Hot Topic's portfolio of brands includes Hot Topic, Box Lunch, and Her Universe, which will continue operating independently from Spencer Spirit business while maintaining existing California headquarters. Steve Vranes will remain CEO of Hot Topic.

LLCP recently acquired Colt Group, a Pasadena, Texas-headquartered provider of critical emergency repair services to industrial and municipal clients. Partner Matthew Rich highlighted that Colt's specialized services help facilities operate safely while avoiding costly unplanned downtime. The firm targets opportunities in aging infrastructure across chemicals, refining, power generation, and municipal water sectors.

Marco Sealing Solutions, an Align Capital Partners portfolio company, acquired Global O-Ring and Seal, a Houston-based distributor of sealing products. This marks Marco's 10th acquisition since partnering with ACP. Managing partner Chris Jones discussed the add-on strategy driving this transaction.
