Blue Sage Capital has completed an undisclosed investment in Toledo, Ohio-based Clean Team, a provider of commercial janitorial and facilities-cleaning services. The deal is a partnership between Blue Sage and Clean Team founder and CEO Bob Armbruster, who retains majority ownership. The investment provides growth capital to support Clean Team's organic expansion and acquisition strategy.

Founded in 1996, Clean Team operates 18 branches across 13 states, serving commercial, healthcare, industrial and education clients with a direct-employed workforce model. It has integrated 13 add-on acquisitions to date. Capital One and Fifth Third provided debt financing for the transaction.
