Apple rates the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max slightly easier to repair than the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max. The company released the data in a product information sheet required by EU energy labeling regulations.

The EU rates repairability across disassembly depth, fasteners, tools, spare parts, software update duration, and repair information. The iPhone 18 Pro models have an overall index of 3.14, up 0.10 from 3.04. Disassembly depth rose from 2.65 to 2.75, while tools improved from 2.05 to 2.55. Fasteners scored 3.80, spare parts 4.00, software updates 1.00, and repair information 5.00.

The models appear to have similar builds and are repaired largely the same way, with small gains in tools and disassembly depth. Apple may have new tools for accessing components, but the filings provide no specifics. Both devices are class C on the A-E scale.

Repair site iFixit is expected to tear down one of the new iPhones on or shortly after the September 18 launch date. The iPhone Duo is not yet available for pre-order, so Apple has not published similar repair data for it.
