Apple today seeded the eighth beta of watchOS 27 to developers, arriving one week after the seventh beta release. The update is available through the Watch app on iPhone with a free developer account, requiring the Apple Watch to be on a charger, connected to Wi-Fi, and have at least 50 percent battery life.

watchOS 27 introduces a significantly more capable Siri AI, featuring conversational abilities and access to personal data. This enhanced Siri requires an iPhone 15 Pro or later model supporting Apple Intelligence. New interface elements include a Dynamic app grid highlighting suggested apps and intuitive Smart Stack Suggestions. Users can locate parked cars, view pinned messages, receive noise alerts, and access identity and transit cards.

Liquid Glass visuals have been updated for improved legibility. Workout Buddy now functions independently of the iPhone, offering new progressive metrics for distance, pace, and duration. Apple also launched a new all-in-one Find My app with Precision Finding support. Additional performance optimizations are claimed to improve overall battery life.

More details on watchOS 27 features are available in the official roundup.
