vivo will launch the X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max on September 21, making them the first devices officially unveiled with MediaTek's Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset. The chipset is built on a 2nm process and represents MediaTek's latest flagship offering.

Oppo has confirmed its Find X10 Pro Max will also use the Dimensity 9600 Pro, but that announcement comes one day later on September 22. vivo revealed this detail through its official Weibo account, expressing pride in being first to market.

The X500 Pro series features advanced imaging capabilities including 4K120fps 10bit Log recording and output, a high-performance imaging NPU 2.0 with industry-leading 60fps autofocus, a self-developed imaging chip enabling 4K Dolby Vision portrait video, and a new high-performance AI processor.

This positions vivo ahead of Oppo in showcasing MediaTek's newest flagship platform, with both companies competing to deliver cutting-edge performance and camera technology to consumers.
