DJI has unveiled the ROMO 2 lineup at IFA 2026, featuring the ROMO P2 and ROMO A2. These robot vacuums retain a translucent design but introduce significant upgrades in navigation and cleaning performance. The perception system now offers millimeter-level awareness of floor-level obstacles, improving cable avoidance and adaptive suction based on floor content, including glass and mirrors.

A built-in light helps reveal dirt in low-light settings. Mechanical enhancements include LiDAR-guided mopping arms with a 123-degree swing and a pressure plate capable of up to 36,000 Pa of suction. The vacuums can step over ledges up to 8.5cm tall.

A key focus is data privacy; starting in Q4 2026, ROMO 2 supports Local Data Mode, which cuts the DJI Home app's internet connection to prevent captured media from reaching external servers. Users can also disable cameras and microphones and delete personal data. In Europe, the ROMO P2 starts at €1,299 with a translucent base station, while the ROMO A2 starts at €1,199 with a white base station.

DJI has not detailed other model differences, though the P2's base station may include extra features.
