Apple Watch includes an all-new Siri app in watchOS 27. Unlike the iPhone and iPad versions, it’s a bit less intuitive to use in one way.

Starting with Apple’s OS 27 software updates, Siri can save chat history for the first time. This is useful for two reasons. First, you can easily reference something you looked up before without asking again. Second, you can actually resume a conversation with Siri without starting over from scratch.

Siri apps for iPhone, iPad, and Mac make picking up the conversation intuitive and easy. It’s basically like using an iMessage chat thread. Meanwhile, on the Apple Watch, it’s fair to determine that the Siri app just doesn’t support resuming chats. The chat threads are displayed, but there’s no obvious user interface for continuing the conversation from within the Siri app on Apple Watch.

Fortunately, there’s a way. Invoking Siri while the chat thread is open in the Siri app—by holding the Digital Crown or saying Siri/Hey Siri—appends your input to the chat thread in view. It’s not really intuitive, but it works.

watchOS 27 is officially available alongside iOS 27. Siri AI requires specific hardware, supported markets, and may be waitlisted. Apple Watch Series 12 is available for pre-order from $399. Apple Watch Ultra 4 is available for pre-order from $799. Both launch on September 18.
