Shopify has released Shopcast, a new Apple TV app that turns the device into a dashboard for businesses. "Shopcast turns Apple TV into a dashboard for your Shopify business," the app listing states. "Follow sales, discover your best-selling products, and see where orders are coming from—all in a display designed for your office, retail space, or team room."

The app provides an at-a-glance view of sales, orders, units sold, and average order value. It includes an interactive globe for order activity, leading products and popular colours, and comparisons between online and Shopify POS activity. Users can discover busiest retail locations and customer markets, switch between connected shops while keeping data separate, and choose light or dark mode.

Shopcast is made for Apple TV, allowing navigation via the remote through Revenue, Overview, Products, Retail, and Geography views. Dashboard totals refresh periodically. To connect, authorize access through Shopify; available information depends on account permissions. Shopcast displays store activity, while product, order, and settings management remains in Shopify. It requires an existing Shopify store, authorized access, and an internet connection. Currently available in English, Shopcast can be downloaded from the App Store on Apple TV. It looks like a great new way for businesses to use Apple TV 4K.
