Apple has issued the first iOS 27.2 public beta, following developer beta 2 released yesterday. The update includes the new iPhone Health app, with Apple enabling the ability to schedule and purchase labs through Quest Diagnostics directly from the Health app.

iOS 27.2 is the next release following the official launch of iOS 27 from September 14. iOS 27.1 is dedicated to iPhone Duo, with Apple detailing how the SDK lets developers take advantage of the foldable iPhone display. Apple released Xcode 27.1 beta on Friday, adding the iPhone Duo simulator.

Key changes in iOS 27.2 beta include Apple's redesigned Health app first announced during the iPhone 18 Pro event, dual-capture mode for Group FaceTime, and expanded Siri AI language support now including French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish. Apple TV app profiles come to iPhone, and Apple Podcasts renames Up Next to New Episodes with color-matched backgrounds. Apple Music now uses less of the icon's color for labels.

iOS 27.2 is set for official release in October, with both developer and public beta paths available for iPhone users wanting to test the new Health app early.
