Eagle Hills Eyes $12 Billion Maldives Development

Abu Dhabi-based Eagle Hills is planning a $12 billion mixed-use development in the Maldives. The project eyes a 5.2 million square meter island located approximately 20 minutes from the capital, Male.

In an interview with Bloomberg News, Mohammed Alabbar, who heads Eagle Hills, stated the development is set to include thousands of homes, hotels, resorts, shops, schools, clinics, a water park, a marina, and other amenities.

Alabbar, who also heads Dubai’s Emaar Properties PJSC, noted that his firm could also participate in the massive project.
