England secured a six-wicket win over Sri Lanka in the second Vitality T20 in Cardiff, taking an unassailable 2-0 series lead. Tom Banton's unbeaten 52 helped England chase down 146 in just 12.1 overs.

Jos Buttler and Aneurin Donald added 51 for the first wicket before both fell. Captain Harry Brook smashed 23 off eight balls, falling just short of Tilak Varma's record for most T20I runs without being dismissed. Banton then hit four sixes in his 24-ball knock.

Sri Lanka struggled after a bright start, collapsing from 55-0 to 145-9. Liam Dawson took 3-32, while Jamie Overton claimed 2-23 and Sonny Baker impressed with 1-15. Pathum Nissanka top-scored with 37.

England have now won 22 of their past 25 completed T20s. The series concludes at Old Trafford on Saturday, followed by three ODIs.
