Leeds United manager Daniel Farke confirmed centre-back Joe Rodon will be sidelined for eight to 10 weeks due to a serious hamstring injury. The Wales international was forced off after 34 minutes in the 1-1 Premier League draw against Brentford last Sunday. Rodon had featured in the season-opening league win at Nottingham Forest and the Carabao Cup victory over the same opposition.

Farke stated Rodon will definitely not play before the next international break, calling it a big blow as the defender is a key player. The injury puts pressure on the squad to secure a wing-back, with James Justin potentially covering at centre-back. Leeds recently signed French defender Melvin Bard on deadline day to strengthen left-back options.

Rodon's absence represents a significant setback for Wales, who face Portugal on 24 September and Denmark on 27 September in Uefa Nations League Group 4 matches. They also host Norway and Denmark in home Nations League games at the start of October. Farke emphasized the importance of Rodon returning quickly and noted the January window remains an option if necessary.
