Ina Yoon expanded her advantage at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship with a three‑under 69, pushing her margin to five strokes over the chasing pack. The 23‑year‑old, who opened the tournament with a record‑equalling 63 at Hazeltine National, now sits at 12 under, eyes her first LPGA title.

Nelly Korda, the LPGA leader, slipped into a tie for sixth with Dongeun Lee after a quiet 70 and a 68 on the back nine, leaving her six under. England’s Charley Hull and Lottie Woad fell further, trailing by two and three strokes respectively as the field steadies.

South Korea claimed four of the top seven midway through the event, with Ryu, Henderson, Kim and Lee all hovering near the front. Conditions have stayed calm, dry and comfortably warm, with mid‑70s temperatures easing pressure on the players in the competitive field.

Yoon’s five‑stroke cushion places her among only three others to hold such a lead after 36 holes in the championship’s history, matching the record set by Mickey Wright in 1958. The gap underscores her readiness to contend for the title for the season.
