Wales launches their title challenge on the opening night of the 2026 BetVictor World Cup of Darts in Frankfurt, joining Germany and Australia in the 40-nation tournament running June 11-14. Every match airs live on Sky Sports as teams compete across four days of competition. The top four ranked nations skip the group stage entirely.

Northern Ireland defends their crown alongside England, Netherlands and Scotland in the seeded section, entering directly at the last-16 stage. England's Luke Littler and Luke Humphries headline the seeded teams, while Michael van Gerwen partners Gian van Veen for the Netherlands. Josh Rock and Daryl Gurney chase back-to-back titles for Northern Ireland, with Gary Anderson teaming up with debutant Cameron Menzies for Scotland.

The remaining 36 teams split into 12 round-robin groups, with each group winner advancing to the knockout rounds. Jonny Clayton partners debutant Nick Kenny for Wales in Group C against Lithuania and Thailand. Germany's Martin Schindler and Ricardo Pietreczko face Philippines and New Zealand on home soil, while Australia's Damon Heta and Adam Leek take on USA and Canada.

Opening matches begin Thursday at 6pm, with losing teams returning Friday afternoon before decisive group games that evening. The last-16 draw follows Friday night, with quarter-finals Saturday and semi-finals plus final completing Sunday's schedule. The format rewards the top seeds while giving emerging nations like Uganda valuable experience against established darts countries.
