Mercedes chief Toto Wolff says he is "not at all" disappointed by Max Verstappen committing to Red Bull with a new contract running until 2030.

Red Bull ended speculation over the four-time world champion's future ahead of the Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort. Verstappen's previous deal ran until 2028, but exit clauses would have freed the 28-year-old to join another team in 2027, with switches to Mercedes and McLaren widely discussed.

Wolff pursued Verstappen after Lewis Hamilton announced in February 2024 he was leaving Mercedes for Ferrari. However, Wolff insists he is happy with his current pairing of Kimi Antonelli and George Russell, who sit first and second in the Drivers' Championship. Antonelli, who turned 20 on Tuesday, holds a 59-point advantage over Russell.

Wolff told Sky Sports F1: "We're committed to George and Kimi, and that was a logical consequence. Silly season is officially cancelled. We know each other well. With Kimi and George, it's the perfect set-up, so there is no disappointment."
