Arsenal Women confirmed defender Leah Williamson has signed a new contract with the club. The 29-year-old has overcome a knee injury that sidelined her for much of the season after sustaining the problem during Euro 2025. Williamson recently played her first complete 90 minutes in the Women's Super League and scored against Leicester after coming off the bench in a 7-0 victory.

Williamson's commitment to the club continues a remarkable career spanning two decades. She has made 282 appearances for Arsenal, scoring 17 goals while serving as vice-captain. The centre-back lifted the Champions League trophy last season alongside captain Kim Little and has accumulated multiple domestic and international trophies during her time with the Gunners.

The contract extension comes as Arsenal strengthens its squad, having also recently renewed deals with defender Steph Catley and striker Stina Blackstenius, while Little has signed for an additional year. Williamson's return to form provides a significant boost as Arsenal competes on multiple fronts this season.
