Arsenal captain Kim Little has signed a one-year contract extension with the club. The 35-year-old Scottish midfielder, one of north London's most decorated players, has spent nearly 15 years at Arsenal across two spells. She led the Gunners to Women's Champions League glory last season, defeating Barcelona in Lisbon for their second European title.

Little has scored 177 goals in 405 appearances for Arsenal, winning every major trophy available. Her haul includes five league titles, three FA Cups, seven League Cups, and the Champions League. The midfielder first joined Arsenal at 17 in 2008, left for Seattle Reign and Melbourne City, then returned in 2017 to be named captain a year later.

Her decision to retire from international football in 2021 after 140 Scotland caps has extended her club career. Arsenal currently sit fourth in the WSL with games in hand and hold a 3-1 lead over Chelsea in their Champions League quarter-final. The club has been transitioning to a younger squad but made it clear they wanted Little to stay, recognizing her continued importance to Renee Slegers' team.
