Bernd Wiesberger ended a five-year title drought with victory at the China Open on Sunday. The Austrian carded a final-round 67 to finish at 19-under, three strokes clear of overnight leader Adrian Otaegui at Shanghai Enhance Anting Golf Club. "I played my heart out today," Wiesberger said. "It wasn't pretty at times but I got it done."

Wiesberger's last DP World Tour victory came at the Danish Golf Championship in May 2021. "It's been a tough couple of years," he admitted, clearly emotional after the win. Otaegui suffered a miserable back nine, recording two bogeys and a double-bogey at the 18th. The win earns Wiesberger spots in the lucrative Rolex Series events, which he called "huge" for his career.

Sweden's Mikael Lindberg fired a 67 to take solo third at 14-under, with South African Shaun Norris one shot back in fourth. German Freddy Schott carded the day's lowest round, a 64, to finish fifth at 12-under. France's Tom Vaillant and England's Nathan Kimsey shared sixth at 11-under.
