Whyte Eyes Trilogy with Chisora as Rival Contemplates Retirement

Dillian Whyte is plotting his return to the ring and believes a trilogy bout with longtime rival Derek Chisora could be on the cards. The Brixton heavyweight, who holds two dramatic victories over Chisora from 2016 and 2018, thinks the prospect of revenge will lure his old foe back from the brink of retirement.

Chisora appeared set to call it a day after his loss to Deontay Wilder at the O2 earlier this month. However, Whyte senses an opportunity. "He says he wants to fight me and he's not going to retire," Whyte told Sky Sports News. "He doesn't like me, I don't like him. He doesn't want to lose to me, I don't want to lose to him."

Whyte came away with a split decision victory in their first bout before stopping Chisora in the 11th round of their 2018 rematch. "I've already slept him once. I gave him one of the best sleeps he's had in his whole life," Whyte said. The 36-year-old is determined to put his career back on track after a stoppage loss to Moses Itauma last year and wants the trilogy in May or June.
