Warrington Wolves and Wigan Warriors will play the first-ever Super League match in Ireland at Laya Arena in Dublin on April 24, 2027. The event builds on rugby league’s Dublin ties, with prior matches in 1934 and 1995. Karl Fitzpatrick, CEO of Warrington, emphasized the city’s global reputation for hosting major events. Kris Radlinski, Wigan’s CEO, highlighted the opportunity to showcase the sport’s growth. Both clubs aim to attract new audiences while celebrating their loyal fanbases.

Sky Sports will broadcast the match live, continuing its coverage of Super League games. The fixture underscores the league’s ambition to expand beyond traditional markets.
