Raymond van Barneveld has been fined and suspended by the Darts Regulation Authority for inappropriate behaviour and offensive language. The independent body, which oversees events run under the PDC, WDF, Modus and ADC, published its first case list since 2022, covering hearings from January 2023 to June 2026. Former world champions Rob Cross, Gary Anderson, Luke Humphries and Van Barneveld feature alongside Cameron Menzies and Dom Taylor.

Barneveld’s first incident involved ‘inappropriate behaviour and using offensive language’ at the Players Championship 2 event in Wigan last year, resulting in a three‑month suspension affirmation and a £3,000 fine. The second incident concerned a formal warning for failing to report damage to a hotel room after a Players Championship in Germany.

Other disciplinary actions included Menzies’antal four‑month suspension after punching a drinks table at the World Championship, and Taylor’s six‑month ban for a second positive test for cocaine and cannabis, which also cost him £1,275 in fines and £25,000 in prize money.

The DRA’s updated list highlights the sport’s commitment to clean competition and player conduct across all major darts organisations.
