Ben Duckett scored a fine half‑century and Mohammad Amir took crucial late wickets to help Trent Rockets stay top of The Hundred table with a five‑run win over SunRisers Leeds at Trent Bridge.

After opting to bat, the Rockets began strongly when Aneurin Donald slotted a 19‑ball 40, forcing Duckett to play second fiddle. Duckett then took over, reaching a third half‑century of the campaign from 35 balls and overtaking Phil Salt to become the men’s competition’s leading run‑scorer.

Duckett’s 64 from 47 came after a 50‑run stand with Tim David; David finished on 17. The Rockets ended on 146‑4. SunRisers chased with Mitchell Marsh and Zak Crawley taking them to 32‑1, but Amir’s wickets and a tight final over left them needing 25 from ten balls.

Duckett said the win was a “fantastic team effort” and that he was able to trust his game in the spin‑heavy middle.
