Viktor Tingstrom stunned reigning champion Stephen Bunting on the opening night of the Nordic Darts Masters. The Swedish star survived seven match darts to become only the third Nordic and Baltic representative to triumph in this event since its inception in 2021. Tingstrom's reward is a showdown against 2021 champion Michael van Gerwen.

Luke Humphries emerged as Friday's standout performer, averaging 109.92 and converting six of nine doubles to win against Jeffrey de Graaf. Luke Littler accounted for Norway's Cor Dekker 6-1, producing a stylish 129 checkout. The Welsh duo of Jonny Clayton and Gerwyn Price also advanced, setting up an intriguing quarter-final clash.

The tournament concludes on Saturday with quarter-finals, semi-finals, and final at Forum Copenhagen. Humphries will face Gian van Veen, while Littler meets James Wade. With top seeds van Gerwen and Humphries still in contention, the stage is set for a dramatic conclusion to the third World Series of Darts event of the year.
