The Hundred has officially begun with a new era, as Sun Risers Leeds Women secured a dominant seven-wicket victory over MI London in the season's inaugural women's match at The Kia Oval. Both teams are newly named following significant overseas investment.

Sunrisers, last year's champions under the Northern Superchargers banner, restricted MI London to 107-8. Despite an opening stand of 57 between Hayley Matthews (33) and Danni Wyatt-Hodge (29), Sunrisers' bowlers, including Deepti Sharma (2-20) and Hannah Baker (2-16), took crucial wickets. The visitors then comfortably chased their target with 31 balls remaining.
