Spieth Eyes PGA Title Amid Grand Slam Quest

Jordan Spieth has declared that game is ready PGA Championship win, but he stresses that pressure to complete the Grand Slam differs from Rory McIlroy’s experience. The 2026 tournament at Aronimink Golf Club marks Spieth’s 10th shot at the missing major, after triumphing at The Masters and the US Open in 2015 and The Open in 2017.

McIlroy clinched the Green Jacket last April in a playoff, becoming only the sixth man to own all four majors. Spieth, who won the Masters and US Open in 2015 and The Open in 2017, has yet to secure the PGA Championship, leaving his career Grand Slam incomplete and 52nd-place finish at the Truist Championship.

Scottie Scheffler, world No 1, could become the seventh Grand Slam champion by winning the US Open at Shinnecock Hills on his 30th birthday. With victories at The Masters in 2022 and 2024, and recent wins at the PGA Championship and The Open, Scheffler’s momentum makes the summer title a pivotal opportunity for his career dream.

Other hopefuls include Jon Rahm, who after winning the US Open in 2021 and The Masters in 2023, could complete the set with a PGA win. Collin Morikawa and Xander Schauffele, both Open and PGA champions, also sit within striking distance, while Phil Mickelson remains outside the field for his career aspirations and fans are watching.
