Silca Bay and Sea Suite feature among a field of nine for the Sapporo Japanese Premium Lager Brighton Mile Challenge Handicap on the opening day of the Festival of Racing at Brighton.

Silca Bay arrives on the back of a narrow Newmarket success and should improve. Sea Suite, twice a winner this year, could continue to hold form despite a 4lb rise in the weights. Other notable runners include Glen Nevis, Play Me, and Here I Bow.

At Yarmouth, Dubai Charm and Dowman contest a trappy Strawberry Fields Stud Nursery Handicap. Dubai Charm looks to hold excellent claims, while Dowman carries an opening mark of 73. Additionally, Lady Of Hay and Speed Of Sound headline a competitive maiden filly's stakes.

Back at Brighton, recent winners It's Life and Buckland Belle clash before attention shifts to Saratoga's Grade 1 A. P. Smithwick Memorial Handicap.
