Sky Sports has launched its first nationwide competition to discover a standout creator for its Formula 1 coverage. The Grid Insider initiative seeks a fresh voice from F1's social community to feature on Sky Sports F1 during the 2026 season. The competition was kicked off with a spoof auditions tape starring Martin Brundle, Jenson Button, Natalie Pinkham, Bernie Collins, and Anthony Capaldi.

Aspiring creators can apply by submitting content that showcases their storytelling instincts and deep knowledge of the sport. The winning creator will receive multiple opportunities including presenting segments on The F1 Show, hosting Paddock Pass episodes across Sky Sports F1 social channels, appearing as a podcast guest, and hosting official watch parties for Grand Prix weekends. They'll also enjoy exclusive behind-the-scenes access at race weekends.

The competition aims to tap into F1's exploding popularity and growing creator community. With entries open at skysportsgridinsider.sky.com, a shortlist will be selected by the Sky Sports F1 team before fans ultimately decide the winner through public voting. The announcement will be made live on air during the season, giving one creator the chance to join the broadcasting team.
