Serena Williams insists her unexpected return to professional tennis isn't driven by title ambitions. The 44-year-old, who captured 23 Grand Slam singles titles during her legendary career, will partner 19-year-old Canadian Victoria Mboko in doubles at the Queen's Club Championships this week.

Williams' last match at the 2022 US Open appeared to conclude her playing days, but she committed late to the London event. She emphasized having nothing to prove and everything to gain, focusing on her children experiencing her playing rather than adding to her trophy collection.

The former world No. 1 has also entered the Berlin Tennis Open while keeping the door open for a potential Wimbledon wildcard. Mboko believes Williams remains capable of high-level play, praising her clean ball-striking and fitness.

Williams hasn't ruled out singles action but acknowledges she needs more match practice. Her immediate priority is doubles competition with Mboko against Nicole Melichar-Martinez and Erin Routliffe, marking a cautious yet intriguing comeback.
