Tottenham have confirmed the signing of winger Savio from Manchester City in an £85m deal. Sky Sports News understands Spurs will pay an initial £75m for the 22-year-old, with a further £10m available in add-ons. It is understood that £5m of the potential bonuses are effectively guaranteed, meaning City could receive at least £80m from the deal.

Tottenham have finally signed long-term target Savio, formerly known as Savinho at City, after failing to sign the Brazil international last summer. He will wear the No 17 shirt at the club. Savio's arrival takes Spurs' spending this summer past the £300m barrier following the arrivals of Sandro Tonali, Mateus Fernandes and Jan Paul van Hecke for a combined fee of £237m.

Spurs also added Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi on free transfers. Meanwhile, Savio's sale is a club record for Man City, surpassing Julian Alvarez's £82m move to Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2024. Speaking in a statement released by the club, Savio said: "It's taken a while but I'm very happy to be here.

It's a wonderful opportunity at a brilliant club with one of the best managers in the world. As soon as I spoke to the head coach I knew I had to come. He told me he wants to help me reach the highest level, and I believe we can do that together, as a team." Spurs boss Roberto De Zerbi added: "Savio is a player who brings energy, imagination and quality in wide positions.

He has the courage to attack defenders and the ability to change a game with his creativity. We're very pleased to have him with us, and I'm looking forward to working with him, helping him continue to grow and seeing him bring his personality to the team." Sky Sports News reported on Friday that Tottenham are very close to finalising a deal with Manchester City for Omar Marmoush. Advanced negotiations are ongoing and progressing in the right direction, with Marmoush on board with the move.

However, City head coach Enzo Maresca confirmed that Jeremy Doku has an injury and, with Savio already joining Spurs for £85m, City are currently short of forward options. Marmoush was an unused substitute during City's 2-1 win against Bournemouth in their Premier League opener but did feature in the Community Shield loss to Arsenal, playing 37 minutes off the bench in the 3-0 defeat. Following the £85m signing of Savio from Manchester City, Spurs have now overspent on players by nearly £130m in this summer's transfer window - according to Sky Sports data.
