The Ryder Cup returns to Ireland for its centenary edition in September 2027, with Adare Manor in County Limerick set to host the prestigious tournament. The dates are locked in for September 17-19, marking exactly 100 years since the first contest was held in Massachusetts in 1927.

Team Europe will defend their title as current holders, having won the 2023 Rome contest and the 2025 New York event. Luke Donald has been confirmed as Europe's captain, making him the first European to lead in three consecutive Ryder Cups. The former world No 1 joins Tony Jacklin as the only European captain to win home and away Ryder Cups.

Team USA has yet to name their captain, though Tiger Woods is the favorite to take the role. The 15-time major champion has been approached by the PGA of America but has not committed to the position. Ireland previously hosted the Ryder Cup in 2006 at The K Club, where Ian Woosnam's European team defeated the USA 18.5-9.5.
