Manchester City have rejected a new £55m bid from Barcelona for Rodri. Last week an initial £40m offer was knocked back. Barca's new offer is still not enough; City want upwards of £60m for the 30-year-old midfielder in the final year of his deal. Talks remain ongoing. City do not want to sell but would not stand in his way if he asks to leave.

Separately, City are in advanced talks with Saudi club Al Qadsiah to sell Tijjani Reijnders for around £51.3m (€60m). Positive talks continue. City could lose two central midfielders but want to replace them with two, including interest in Chelsea's Enzo Fernandez (deadline Friday for £120m bid) and Lille's Ayyoub Bouaddi.
