RB Leipzig have rejected an £85.4m bid from Real Madrid for Yan Diomande, according to Sky Germany. The offer comprised an initial fee of £76.9m plus £8.5m in add-ons. Madrid have been active in the window following the return of Jose Mourinho, having signed Bernardo Silva, Ibrahima Konate, Denzel Dumfries and Marc Cucurella.

Liverpool have also expressed interest in Diomande but are unwilling to exceed £85m, a fee that would surpass the Premier League’s record teenage transfer of £58.9m for Leny Yoro. PSG is the player’s preferred destination, though no official bid has been made; president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has held talks with the German club.

Diomande has already agreed a contract until 2031 with the Champions League winners, but Leipzig will only sell for an exceptional fee. The teenager, who scored twice in six La Liga starts for relegated Leganes last season, joined Leipzig for €20m and has become a revelation in the Bundesliga, attracting attention from Europe’s biggest clubs.
