Paris Saint-Germain are closing in on a deal for RB Leipzig forward Yan Diomande after positive talks between the clubs. The Ligue 1 giants submitted their opening offer on Sunday and aim to finalize the transfer as early as Monday, with discussions accelerating between presidents Nasser Al Khelaifi and Oliver Mintzlaff.

A fee of €100 million ($114 million) plus potential bonuses is on the table, which Leipzig are prepared to accept. Diomande, 19, has already agreed to a five-year contract with the Champions League winners and held discussions with manager Luis Enrique and sporting director Luis Campos about the club's project.

Liverpool remain interested but PSG are clearly leading the pursuit. Real Madrid have also monitored the situation. Diomande joined Leipzig last summer from Leganes for €20 million and has impressed at the World Cup with Ivory Coast, accelerating PSG's push to secure his signature before Norway face the Ivorians on Tuesday.

The teenager's preference for PSG made this move inevitable, representing a significant profit for Leipzig while adding pace and potential to a squad that just claimed European glory.
