Real Madrid are in pole position to sign RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande, according to Sky in Germany. The Spanish giants have already had a £85m (£85.4m) bid rejected for the 19‑year*-old but Leipzig want significantly more to let him go.

Real have now also agreed personal terms with Diomande. Jose Mourinho’s side have been active in this window, snapping up Bernardo Silva, Ibrahima Konate, Denzel Dumfries and Marc Cucurella.

Liverpool have also expressed an interest in Diomande but aren’t willing to pay more than £85m. Arsenal and Manchester City remain interested, and izdel is described as an open race with six weeks left in the window.

Diomande, who had earlier indicated a preference to join Paris Saint‑Germain and signed a contract until 2031, has impressed at Leipzig after a €20m move and continues to develop as a lightning‑fast winger. Bayern Munich’s director Christoph Freund has rebuffed claims of a move for Michael Olise.
