The 2026/27 Premier League season will kick off on Saturday August 22 - a week later than usual to allow player recovery following the 2026 World Cup final on July 19. That gives just 89 days between the campaign ending and the new term beginning. The delayed start reflects concerns about fixture congestion after a major international tournament.

The season will conclude on Sunday May 30, 2027, with all 10 fixtures kicking off simultaneously and shown live on Sky Sports. Fixtures will be released on Friday June 19 at 10am, while the summer transfer window opens on June 15 and closes on August 31 - nine days after the season starts.

Sky Sports will broadcast at least 215 live matches throughout the campaign, maintaining their extensive coverage commitment. The Christmas schedule will feature 33 weekend rounds and five midweek match rounds, with no two rounds scheduled within 60 hours to address player welfare concerns. Coventry City and Ipswich Town have already secured promotion, with either Hull or Middlesbrough set to join them, while Burnley and Wolves have been relegated. Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United, and Aston Villa have confirmed Champions League qualification for next season.
