Ilias Chair scored twice as QPR came from behind to beat Portsmouth 3-1, claiming their first win at Fratton Park in 26 years. Pompey dominated the opening half-hour and took the lead through Terry Devlin's long-range screamer.

However, Rangers scored three times in 15 minutes before half-time to earn their first away win at Pompey since May 2000. Portsmouth named £2.5million new-boy Abu Kamara in their starting 11, while QPR handed debuts to Pierce Charles and Boy Kemper.

After Devlin's stunning 30-yard curler, Chair equalised from a Harvey Vale cross. Koki Saito then doubled the visitors' lead before Chair secured his second goal in stoppage time. Despite a sellout crowd of near 21,000, the hosts could not mount a comeback.
