Former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O'Hara has urged Spurs to sign Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford, calling him a player who could elevate the squad. Speaking on Sky Sports' Tottenham summer special podcast, O'Hara believes manager Roberto De Zerbi is the "perfect man-manager" for Rashford, whose future at Old Trafford remains uncertain after a loan spell at Barcelona. Rashford scored 14 goals and provided 14 assists in 47 appearances for Barca last season, helping them win La Liga, though the club opted against a permanent deal. O'Hara acknowledges Rashford's £350,000 weekly wage as a potential obstacle but insists the 28-year-old is still one of the best players available. "If you get him with a point to prove, I just think he's still one of the best players around," O'Hara said. Tottenham have already spent £237m on six new signings this summer, including a club-record £100m for Sandro Tonali, but are still seeking a left-sided attacker. Other targets reportedly include Manchester City's Savinho and Liverpool's Cody Gakpo. O'Hara also expressed disappointment over the potential departure of Djed Spence to Inter Milan, warning that selling the versatile defender would leave the club short at right-back.

Meanwhile, Sky Sports News reporter Michael Bridge suggested that if Spuse does leave, Spurs should target a younger right-back as a development project. The transfer window closes on September 1, leaving Tottenham with limited time to address their remaining squad needs.

O'Hara emphasized the importance of signing a top-drawer player who can push the team to another level, stating, "We have got to sign someone who's a top-deck player, who gets us to another level and really pushes us on."
