Oscar Schwartau came off the bench to seal Norwich's 2-1 victory over Millwall, denting the Lions' automatic promotion hopes. Millwall, who began Easter Monday in second place, took the lead through substitute Mihail Ivanovic shortly after the break, but Pelle Mattsson’s long‑range strike and Schwartau’s finish turned the tide.

Norwich have now won seven of their last nine away games, keeping their slim play‑off chances alive while giving rivals Ipswich a boost. Early chances fell to Anis Ben Slimane, whose shot was deflected, and Jack Stacey’s drive brushed the far post. Kenny McLean failed to convert Ahmed’s cross, but Mattsson’s 20‑yard effort equalised before Schwartau’s winner in the 76th minute.

Millwall manager Alex Neil lamented a lack of energy and poor defending in midfield, blaming nerves for the collapse. Norwich boss Philippe Clement praised his side’s movement and labelled the performance the best of the season. The defeat drops Millwall out of the automatic promotion spots, leaving them to chase a play‑off place as the run‑in tightens.

With ten games remaining, Millwall must recover points quickly; a single slip could see them slip into the lower half of the table. Norwich, meanwhile, will sit within striking distance of the top three and will look to build momentum on the road, hoping the win fuels a push for a top‑two finish.
