Team Europe captain Anna Nordqvist reveals unprecedented competition for the 2026 Solheim Cup roster, with more players than ever vying for the 12 spots. The biennial tournament returns to the Netherlands this September, marking the first time the event will be held there. Sky Sports Golf will broadcast the competition live from September 11-13.

Nordqvist, who took on the captaincy role with the Ladies European Tour, describes the selection process as both challenging and rewarding. Nordqvist and her vice captains, Caroline Hedwall and Mel Reid, have been involved in designing team outfits and organizing the gala dinner. The captain plans to play a full schedule herself starting in mid-March, wanting to experience the journey alongside her players while gathering insights about their needs and preferences.

With seven months until the event, Nordqvist emphasizes the importance of structure and preparation. She's drawing on feedback from previous captains and current players to develop a comprehensive game plan for Team Europe's approach in September.
