NFL returns to Madrid as the Cincinnati Bengals face the Atlanta Falcons at Real Madrid's iconic Bernabeu Stadium. Offensive lineman Ted Karrass, a 6-foot-4, 310lb powerhouse, revealed he has been using Barcelona sensation Lamine Yamal's locker at Spain's training facility, calling it a 'big honour.' The game marks the seventh of a record nine international NFL games in 2026. Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins, experiencing Europe for the first time, expressed awe at crossing the Atlantic and bringing his family.
Madrid star Kylian Mbappe is expected to attend, drawing admiration from Higgins, who called Mbappe's speed 'crazy.' Falcons running back Bijan Robinson, leading the NFL with 780 rushing yards, plans to meet Vinícius Junior and Mbappe, having already connected with England's Jude Bellingham. Robinson, who met Vinicius through a mutual jeweller, also spent time with Mbappe during a promotional event, trying American football. The NFL continues expanding globally, following its Paris debut and previous Madrid game where the Miami Dolphins beat the Washington Commanders.
