Morgan Rogers is convinced Chelsea can once again compete for top trophies and believes he and Cole Palmer know exactly how to play together. The 24-year-old became the most expensive British player of all time when he joined Chelsea from Aston Villa after helping England reach the World Cup semi-finals.

"I'm just so excited," Rogers told Sky Sports. "It was just an unbelievable summer."

Rogers scored on his debut in Chelsea's 3-1 win over Real Sociedad and feels positive energy around the club with a fresh manager and new players. He emphasized Chelsea's winning tradition and the team's aspirations to compete for Premier League and Champions League glory.

The move reunites Rogers with former teammate Cole Palmer, with whom he played at Manchester City youth level and on England duty. Rogers described their complementary playing styles, noting Palmer as more of a passer while he is more direct and physical. He believes they will get the best out of each other and that their friendship will benefit the team.
