Phil Mickelson’s representatives have strongly refuted allegations of inappropriate behavior, terming them an “anonymously sourced drive-by shooting.” These claims emerged following reports from Golf Digest and Skratch, detailing accusations of inappropriate contact at The Farms Golf Club and further conduct issues raised by Ashley Perez, ex-wife of golfer Pat Perez.

According to a statement released to the New York Post, Mickelson’s team stated that his membership decisions at golf clubs were his own and he was never expelled or had membership revoked. They acknowledged Mickelson apologized for his conduct but stressed this wasn't an admission of every allegation.

The representatives further criticized the Skratch report as a “click-bait narrative” that omitted crucial details. Skratch’s editor-in-chief, Ben Boskovich, however, told the New York Post that the publication stands by its reporting on the matter.

Mickelson’s representatives maintain he has never been expelled from a golf club, and that his apologies for past conduct should not be misconstrued as an admission of all accusations. The situation remains contentious, with differing accounts of events and club membership status.
