Manchester United collapsed to a 4-2 defeat as Ruben Amorim’s AC Milan came from behind to win in Poland. Harry Maguire opened the scoring in the second minute heading in from Bruno Fernandes' corner, and Amad Diallo looked set for a second. However, Milan rallied, with Samuel Chukwueze and Goncalo Ramos equalising before half-time, despite Fernandes having a penalty saved. Patrick Dorgu briefly restored United's lead through a sloppy back-pass, but Alphadjo Cisse levelled at the far post. Goncalo Ramos then headed Milan ahead, and Ruben Loftus-Cheek completed the scoring from the right flank.

The result raised questions over United's readiness ahead of the Premier League season.
