Cusack was found unresponsive at her home on September 20, 2023.

Mrs. Cusack described Morgan as her daughter's "nemesis," noting that team-mates referred to him as a "prison warden." She testified that Morgan's employment created a toxic environment, undermining Cusack's confidence. The player was reportedly devastated by Morgan's arrival due to a prior negative experience with him at Leicester City, fearing history would repeat itself. Morgan allegedly called Cusack "bottom heavy," prompting her to drastically alter eating habits and increase training.
