Charles Leclerc has committed his future to Ferrari, signing a two-year extension that ties him to the team through the end of the 2028 season. The deal comes just before his home Monaco Grand Prix and secures the Monegasque driver beyond his previous contract's expiration this year.

Leclerc joined Ferrari's driver academy in 2016 and has become a cornerstone of the squad. At 28, he ranks second in pole positions behind only Michael Schumacher and currently sits third in the 2026 championship behind Mercedes duo Kimi Antonelli and George Russell.

Team Principal Fred Vasseur praised Leclerc's growth, calling him one of Formula 1's strongest drivers who embodies everything Ferrari represents. The Monegasque expressed deep gratitude for continuing what he calls a childhood dream.

With Monaco kicking off a demanding European summer stretch of six races in eight weeks, Ferrari now has stability in their driver lineup as they push to end their championship drought that dates back to 2008.
