Justin Rose is set to debut McLaren Golf's new clubs at this week's Cadillac Championship in Miami, becoming the Formula 1 team's first tour professional as they expand into the golfing market. The brand's official launch coincides with the build-up to Sunday's Miami Grand Prix, creating a unique double header for the racing powerhouse.

Despite the timing presenting a potential gamble—Rose arrives in strong form having finished third at The Masters and won the Farmers Insurance Open in January—the 45-year-old Englishman isn't concerned. "There are some best practices we have put into development which are giving me what I think are a fantastic set of golf clubs," Rose said on Tuesday. He's been working with the engineering team for over a year on the project.

Also competing at the Cadillac Championship is Alex Fitzpatrick, making his PGA Tour debut as a full member following his victory at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans with older brother Matt on Sunday. Fitzpatrick had to cancel plans to play in the DP World Tour's Turkish Airlines Open to instead make his PGA Tour debut, earning an exemption until the end of the 2028 season and a spot in next month's PGA Championship. "It's been pretty wild," Fitzpatrick admitted. "The biggest thing for me is to try and enjoy it. This is the first day of school for me."

Live coverage of the Cadillac Championship begins Thursday at 2pm on Sky Sports Golf.
