Oshae Jones kept her IBF junior middleweight championship after judges scored her rematch with Elia Carranza a split draw at MVP Boxing 04 in Orlando. The bout marked their second meeting following Jones' narrow victory last July, though neither fighter could claim definitive superiority this time.

Jones out-landed Carranza 101 punches to 67, but the scoring reflected the competitive nature of the contest. One judge favored Carranza 96-94, while the other two judges scored it 96-94 and 95-95 for Jones respectively. Despite retaining her title, Jones acknowledged she could have boxed smarter, particularly avoiding the ropes more often.

Carranza immediately called for a trilogy to settle the rivalry, arguing that Jones failed to produce an undeniable performance. The co-main event saw Tiara Brown defend her WBC featherweight title against previously-unbeaten Hannah Rapp, while Nataly Delgado and Estefany Alegria scored upset victories to claim world championships on the undercard.

The split draw leaves both fighters at a crossroads, with Carranza's demand for a third fight likely to intensify pressure on Jones to deliver a more convincing title defense. MVPW-06 in Birmingham on August 29 will feature Mikaela Mayer versus Chantelle Cameron.
